Nelli Kam Chupin

Nelli Kam Chupin is an artist-cartographer of hidden structures. She works with systems such as languages, cities and cultures, finds their inner logic and gives it a form: books, zines, posters, interactive and digital objects. She lays out complex things like a map and shows an order that the usual eye does not notice. For her, clarity is not simplification but a form of beauty. Her works are still, but they set the viewer in motion: an unfamiliar system opens like a new landscape, and the viewer’s inner map grows wider.

Her posters start from ideas, not pictures, and are built from experimental typography and the world’s writing systems, with a dry sense of humour — a poster you read twice, once for the image and once for the catch. Her work has been shortlisted in more than fifty international competitions: gold and bronze at PosterStellars, 3rd prize at the International Poster Biennale in Lublin (2025), a place in the Communication Arts Design Annual (2026), publications with Slanted. She studied poster design in Peter Bankov’s schools and typography at Antwerp’s Plantin Institute.

She is one of the four designers behind Novart and Poster Every Day.

Shown at Interior Posters — Open Call 2026, Belgrade.
