About the gallery

worldwide · online

Since 2021

A platform built for type-driven design.

A gallery for posters and type-driven design, run by four designers who have been making a poster a day since 2021. Open calls every two months, shown online and on real walls in Belgrade.

What we believe

Getting seen shouldn't depend on who you know. We built the process instead.

First open call:

Interior Poster Exhibition

Format:

international, digital-first

Working since:

2021, as Poster Every Day

Each show

a digital catalogue, free to view

Novart grew out of Poster Every Day, a community of designers who make one poster a day and post it. The first 140 days produced over a thousand posters, which was rather more than anyone had planned for, so we started hanging them: two exhibitions, an installation at Forward Festival in Berlin, a poster competition for a music festival. In 2026 the project got a name, a gallery in Belgrade and this website. The rule is still the same, and so is the question we ask of every poster: would you hang it in your own home?

The spaces · some cities

One process, wherever you are.

Digital-first

Every exhibition lives online from day one — open to artists anywhere, viewable by anyone, no shipping required to take part in the digital showcase.

In person, when the group is ready

Once an exhibition's group is confirmed, we add an in-person component — prints, an opening, a venue. Details are announced with the exhibition date.

Novart is a gallery for posters and type-driven design. We run open calls, review every application ourselves, and show what we select online at novart.me and on real walls.

Posters first, and everything that behaves like one: typography, illustration, collage, animation. If it holds a wall, we want to see it.

We built this for people who make good work and have nowhere to hang it — early-career, self-taught, working from anywhere. Submit, get a real review, exhibit, and keep the page. Then do it again in two months.

Novart exists because getting a serious exhibition shouldn't depend on who you already know. We built a process instead — submit the work, get a real curatorial review, and if it's selected, you get the whole path: exhibition, digital catalogue, certificate.
